Hi WD-

In addition to the rest of the crew here, I suggest you & your boy read books on technique and go out and practice what you read together.

There are more, but two great books available, through most libraries even, are Proficient Motorcycling by Hough and The Idiot's Guide to Motorcycles.

I also suggest you get him an AMA membership and a few magazine subscriptions.

I devour bike books and mags, took the MSF course, and I still dumped my bike last June. Ignorance, arrogance, and distractions can kill you, as you know riding for as long as you have.

Have him watch his rear and tell him to assume he's invisible to ALL drivers, pedestrians, etc. Wear helmet and gear: looking cool must not be his priority, but living should be!

Most of all, tell him to ride a lot and enjoy it!
